actu8 (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application at actu8.app and our iOS mobile application. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the app.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information — email address and password when you create an account.
- Daily planning data — tasks, schedule blocks, and notes you enter on the Today page.
- Goals — achievement goals and practice/habit goals you create, including titles, descriptions, due dates, and progress.
- Weekly check-in responses — reflections, dimension pulse ratings, focus priorities, and intentions.
- Dimension foundations — your long-term vision and current focus statements for each wellness dimension.
- Ideal week schedule — time blocks you configure for your ideal weekly rhythm.
- Time log entries — time tracking records you create manually or via the focus timer.
- Someday list items — ideas and intentions you capture for future consideration.
- Balance assessment ratings — wellness dimension ratings you provide during onboarding or life reviews.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, and engagement patterns (used to improve the product).
- Streak and badge data — automatically calculated from your app usage.
- Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version (collected by Expo/React Native on iOS).
Information from third-party integrations (optional)
- Google Calendar — if you connect your Google Calendar, we retrieve read-only event metadata (title, start/end times) to display alongside your daily schedule. We do not store full event details; data is fetched on demand.
- Microsoft Outlook Calendar — same scope and behavior as Google Calendar above.
- iCal URL — if you provide a calendar URL, events are fetched read-only to display in your daily view.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the actu8 application.
- To personalize your experience — surfacing your goals, habits, and schedule in your daily and weekly views.
- To send transactional emails — magic sign-in links, password reset emails, and account notifications.
- To process subscription payments and manage your billing status.
- To calculate streaks, badges, and engagement metrics shown within the app.
- To improve the product through anonymized, aggregated usage analysis.
- To respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal planning data for advertising purposes.
3. Data Storage and Security
All user data is stored in Supabase, a managed PostgreSQL database platform hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States. Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Authentication credentials (passwords) are hashed and never stored in plain text.
Calendar OAuth tokens (for Google and Outlook integrations) are encrypted using AES-256 before being stored.
While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.
Aggregated, anonymized data (with no personally identifying information) may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.
6. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — you can view all data you have entered in the application at any time.
- Correction — you can edit or update your data directly within the app.
- Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us at the address below.
- Portability — the Reports section includes CSV export for time log data. Requests for full data exports can be made by email.
- Withdrawal of consent — you can disconnect calendar integrations at any time from Settings. This immediately revokes our access to your calendar data.
Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and California have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively. Please contact us to exercise these rights.
7. Children's Privacy
actu8 is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by sending you an email notification. Your continued use of actu8 after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
